How It Works

1

Upload a PNG, WebP, BMP, or TIFF File

Select any image in a non-JPEG format from your device that you need to convert. The converter accepts PNG files with transparency, WebP images from modern browsers, BMP bitmaps from legacy systems, and TIFF scans from document workflows — virtually any raster format can be transformed.

2

Transparent Region Handling

If your source image has an alpha channel, the converter replaces transparent pixels with a white or custom-colored background of your choosing before encoding as JPEG. This prevents the black fill that most converters apply by default when flattening transparency.

3

Download the JPEG Output

The converted file is rendered at the same pixel dimensions as the original with a configurable quality setting. Download the JPEG and use it anywhere that requires the universal JPG format — from email attachments to legacy CMS platforms that reject other formats.

Who Uses This

Document Management Specialists

converting multi-megabyte TIFF scans from office scanners into compact JPEGs that email systems will actually accept as attachments without blocking

WordPress Site Owners

transforming PNG screenshots and WebP graphics into JPEG format because their theme or plugin gallery only accepts JPG uploads for featured images

Photographers

batch-converting RAW exports from Lightroom that were accidentally saved as 16-bit PNG into web-ready JPEGs that load quickly on client proofing galleries

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose quality converting from PNG to JPEG?
JPEG uses lossy compression, so some quality loss is inherent in the conversion, particularly in areas with sharp color transitions. However, at 85% quality or above the difference is nearly imperceptible for photographs. For images with text or sharp lines, consider keeping the PNG format.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
JPEG does not support transparency. The converter replaces transparent areas with a solid white background by default, or you can pick a custom background color to match your intended use. This avoids the ugly black backgrounds that appear when transparency is simply stripped.
Can I convert animated WebP files?
The converter extracts the first frame of an animated WebP and saves it as a static JPEG. If you need to preserve animation, you should keep the original WebP format or convert to GIF instead.
