How It Works

1

Upload Your Image and Configure the Watermark

Load the photo you want to protect, then type your watermark text or upload a logo image. Adjust the font, size, color, and opacity of text watermarks, or scale and position your logo overlay exactly where you want it to appear on the image.

2

Position and Tile the Overlay

Drag the watermark to any corner, center, or custom position on the canvas using the interactive placement controls. For maximum protection against cropping, enable the tiling option which repeats the watermark across the entire image at a subtle opacity — visible enough to deter theft but not so bold that it obscures the content underneath.

3

Export the Watermarked Image

The watermarked image renders at the original resolution with the overlay permanently composited into the pixel data. Download the result as a JPEG or PNG file, ready to publish online with your branding and ownership information embedded directly into the image.

Who Uses This

Professional Photographers

embedding their studio name and copyright year across portfolio images before uploading to public galleries where clients might screenshot without permission

Stock Photo Contributors

applying a tiled semi-transparent watermark to preview images on microstock platforms so buyers must purchase to get the clean version

Digital Artists

stamping their social media handle on artwork shared on Twitter and Instagram so reposters cannot easily remove attribution when sharing the image further

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I remove a watermark after applying it?
No. Once the watermark is composited into the image pixels and downloaded, it becomes a permanent part of the image. That is why watermarking is effective for protection — always keep an unwatermarked copy of your original file for your own use.
What opacity should I use for my watermark?
For corner-placed watermarks, 60–80% opacity keeps them clearly legible without overwhelming the image. For tiled protection watermarks, 15–30% opacity is sufficient — the pattern is visible enough to discourage theft but subtle enough not to distract from the content.
Can I use a transparent PNG logo as a watermark?
Yes. Upload your logo as a PNG with transparency and the tool composites it onto the image while preserving the alpha channel. You can adjust the opacity of the entire logo overlay to make it blend naturally with the underlying photo.
